Bilt is running a transfer bonus of up to 100% when you move points to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club or Virgin Red on Tuesday, September 1. It applies for that one day only. Transferred points go up to twice as far, which lowers the number of Bilt points needed for award flights. Below is what the bonus is, the current award prices on several routes, the Bilt points required at each status, and the rules that apply.
New to Bilt? Bilt is a free loyalty program, and the points you earn can go toward travel. Earning is simple: create a free account, link a qualifying card to your Bilt account, and use it with Bilt's partners.
Better yet, you don't need to rent, own a home, or carry a Bilt card to be a member. Anyone can open a free rewards account, link their cards, and earn points every time they spend with a Bilt partner, including restaurants, Lyft rides, pharmacies, fitness classes, and more.
What the bonus is
Your bonus depends on your Bilt status.
Rules to know before you transfer:
- The bonus runs on Tuesday, September 1 only.
- You can transfer to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, Virgin Red, or both.
- The maximum Bilt points that earn the bonus is 150,000 total, across both programs combined.
- The $200 Bilt Cash buy-up boosts your bonus tier for both Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and Virgin Red transfers, so a single buy-up covers both programs.
- The bonus is added during transfer processing.
You can also link your Virgin Red and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club accounts on either program's website to share one Virgin Points balance across both. Virgin Red covers cruises, hotels, and experiences, and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club covers flights on Virgin and its partners, which gives you more ways to use the points this bonus earns.
Book Domestic Delta Flights
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club is a Delta partner, which means you can book Delta's own flights inside the US with Virgin Points. It is one of the better uses of this bonus, because domestic first class prices out low and the taxes are only $5.60. Prices start at 7,500 Virgin Points in economy and 21,000 in first.

Book Flights to Europe
Virgin Atlantic prices Europe from 6,000 Virgin Points in economy or 29,000 in business. Taxes & fees are higher.

Book South America and LATAM's new suite
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club is a LATAM partner, which means you can book LATAM flights to South America with Virgin Points.
Miami to Lima is 50,000 Virgin Points in business or 25,000 in economy. Miami to Buenos Aires or Santiago (new aircraft) is 95,000 in business or 37,500 in economy.

Book Flights to Asia
Korean Air from San Francisco to Seoul is 85,000 Virgin Points in business. Vietnam Airlines to Vietnam prices are 140,000 points in business.

Cruises, hotels, and stays
Flights are only half of it. The same Virgin Points also book the Virgin Red side, which covers cruises, hotels, and experiences. Three worth knowing right now:
Virgin Voyages cruises
Virgin Points book Virgin Voyages, the adults-only cruise line with Michelin-style dining and included entertainment. Caribbean sailings start around 160,000 Virgin Points, a Central Sea Terrace cabin is from 250,000, and a $300 onboard bar tab runs 40,000 points.

Virgin Hotels Edinburgh
Virgin Hotels Edinburgh sits in the landmark India Buildings in the city's Old Town, pairing the historic setting with a modern hotel and its own dining. Reward stays start at 60,000 Virgin Points.

Mont Rochelle, South Africa
Mont Rochelle is a Virgin Limited Edition retreat in the Cape Winelands, set among vineyards and mountains. You can redeem Virgin Points for a 2026 stay, from 70,000 points.

Before you transfer
Decide what you are booking before Tuesday, and confirm award availability first, so you are not transferring toward a seat that is not there. Transfers are one way, so only move what you will use. Once the points land, there is no rush to use them, because Virgin Points do not expire. Virgin's current policy is that your points never expire, with no inactivity requirement.
The buy-up adds $200 in Bilt Cash to move from 75% to 100%, and it now lifts your tier for both Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Red at once. It has more effect on larger business class awards than on low economy prices.
The 150,000 cap is shared across Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Red, so account for both if you split the transfer.
